At Eleven Mile Farm, we take great care to harvest flowers and foliage at prime time for the longest lasting time in the vase.  Part of what makes Becca’s bouquets so special is the unique blend of flowers and foliage that are used.  Ultimately, some flowers will last longer than others in the vase.  We hope you will enjoy the organic nature of your flowers and can appreciate their ever-changing dynamics.

Tips for maximizing the life of your flowers:

a.     When you get your flowers home, give them a fresh cut before placing them in water;

b.     Use flower food if you have it.  This provides valuable nutrients to the flowers;

c.      Place them in a cool spot away from direct sunlight.

Fresh water and a trim each day will help them to be most vibrant. For bouquets, after several days, feel free to pull anything that doesn’t look happy and give your flowers a HARD cut (3-4 inches). Place them into a shorter vase, and voila! You have a whole new bouquet!
